PH SENATE HONORS TAPALES

Unified WBA and IBF Super Bantamweight world champion Marlon Tapales gets an official recognition from the Senate of the Philippines through a resolution sponsored by Senate Sports Committee Chairman Christopher “Bong” Go. Both Go and Tapales are proud sons of Mindanao.
In the resolution, Tapales was lauded for bringing so much honor and pride to the country and making his own mark in history. According to Senator Go, Marlon’s success should serve as inspiration to all Filipino athletes and encourage them to strive for excellence in their chosen sport via discipline and hard work. Go, also wished Tapales luck in his coming first title defense in December.
Tapales and Sanman CEO Jim Claude Manangquil were invited to the senate for the presentation of the resolution and for a photo ops with the present senators.
