FIVE hundred fifty trail runners will be seeing action in the Salomon X Trail Run Pilipinas on May 7 at the Samal Island in Davao del Norte.
“There are 220 entries in the 30 kilometer event while 330 are registered in the 15km,” said lead-technical Dax Ang of Davao Adventure X Services.
The participants are coming from Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, Zamboanga, General Santos City, Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Bacolod and Davao Region.
“We also have participants that will come from the Asia Pacific Region,” said Ang.
The registration for both categories is already closed. The race briefing will be held on April 23 at Abreeza Mall of Davao from 3 p.m.
“This year’s trail run will not be easy but fun and exciting,” said Ang.
The race will start and end at the Kaputian Beach Park, Barangay Poblacion in Kaputian.
The 30km will start at 1 a.m. while 15km will follow at 5 a.m.
It will cover several barangay areas that offer breathtaking views and white sand beaches. A 70% majority trail, some dirt and open coastal road.
The event will be staged by the Davao Adventure X in partnership with Salomon and Samal Island.
