CASAMA CAPTURES PBF FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE

Sanman featherweight prospect Michael Casama (now W9 KO9 L1) successfully grabbed the Philippine Boxing Federation Featherweight belt by stopping Ryan Rey Ponteras in the eighth round. Both warriors kissed the canvass at a certain pointas they gamely pushed each other to the limit. In th e end it was Casama’s power that prevailed.
In the co-main event, former WBA Light Flyweight Champion Randy Petalcorin made a successful comeback with a unanimous decision win over Jay-Ar Diama. All judges scored it 60-54 for Petalcorin.
In the featured undercards, former world title contender Richie Mepranum stopped Dexter Alimento in the second round. Meanwhile, Joshua Belecina wins via sixth round unanimous decision against Jerry Tabago.
In the curtain raisers, Jimler Cubay knocked out Marzon Cabilla in the very first round while Gabriel Santisima of ZipSanman dominated Rocky Sardido with a unanimous nod from all judges. All in all it was a 6-0 sweep for the Sanman boxers.
