Nonito Donaire Leads Undefeated Dylan Price into Battle Vs. Philippines’ Jobert Alvarez on Pay Per View By Chris Robinson PhilBoxing.com Sun, 19 Feb 2023  Later tonight, from the Llevate Event Center in Chester, Pennsylvania, we will see the next step in the path of undefeated contender Dylan “Real Dyl” Price, as he faces off with battle tested Jobert Alvarez from General Santos City, Philippines. The WBO NABO bantamweight title will be on the line in a fight that offers contrasting styles. At just 24 years of age, Price is now presented with his most accomplished and experienced opponent to date in the 33-year-old Alvarez. Jobert has a lot on the line riding into this fight, and will be looking to secure a notable upset to get his career back on the upside. For this camp, Price wrapped up his training in Las Vegas with legendary champion Nonito Donaire, whom he connected with at the recent WBO Convention Puerto Rico. The past few weeks Donaire could be seen working intensely with both Dylan, and his younger brother Devin, who also fights on tonight’s card. “We’re building a strong bond,” Price recently reflected when looking at this time training with Donaire. “Nonito, he’s teaching me a lot of things. I’m [going to] just display it on fight night. I can’t say too much.” Finishing train out West is a unique experience for Price, but he seems to appreciate the new outlook. “I actually love closing out camp, away from home,” said Price. “I’m not surrounded by distractions, so I love being away at camp.” Alvarez is a veteran with 26 fights and many rounds against quality opponents, including a valiant effort years back in losing to Juan Francisco Estrada. It should be a very stiff test, but Price doesn’t think the match will go the distance. “My opponent, he is a tough opponent,” said Price. “Uh, I think he's quick. I don't know his power, but we'll see when we get in there.
