MTK Global signs Joe Laws PhilBoxing.com Fri, 30 Apr 2021 The always-entertaining Laws (9-1, 5 KOs) has become a big name in British boxing over the last few years, helping to sell out arenas throughout the North East thanks to his massive fan base. That has been evident on several MTK Fight Night events in Newcastle, where Laws has picked up a number of stoppage victories, much to the delight of the masses of fans in attendance. The 26-year-old will now look to return to winning ways following his fight with Rylan Charlton in October, and he feels that teaming up with MTK Global is the perfect way to achieve that. Laws said: "I am buzzing to be joining MTK Global. I've had some of the best nights of my life when competing on MTK Global shows, and this has given me the lift that I need. I truly believe that MTK Global will take me to the top. "The plan is to pack out Newcastle every time there is a show up here. I want the place to be filled to the rafters, and I will put on nights that people don't forget. I'm entertaining and I'm ready to fight. "I'm happy with my career so far. My last fight didn't go to plan and I could have done things differently, but I regret nothing. I'm 26 so I'm still young in the sport, and I've got time to mature, grow and get the ball rolling again. "Over the next 12 months I just want to get active again. I want to get my name back out there and then campaign for high level fights again. This next year will be exciting and the Benwell Bomber and MTK Global will go all the way. I'm coming!" MTK Global Promoter Lee Eaton added: "We're ecstatic to welcome Joe Laws to the team. We've worked closely with Joe for a number of years when he has competed on our MTK Fight Night events, and now to have him officially on board as an MTK Global fighter is fantastic. "We've seen first-hand just how much he is loved up in the North East, and we can't wait to return there in the near future and have him part of some massive events. "It wasn't to be for him in his last fight against Rylan Charlton, but we know Joe is more than capable of bouncing back and becoming a big part of British boxing for years to come." News on when Laws will have his first bout as an MTK Global fighter will be announced in due course. |
