JAYSON MAMA SEEKS TO IMPRESS ON APRIL 30

Undefeated Flyweight contender Jayson Mama (W15 L0) will be back in town as he fights Romshane Sarguilla on the co-feature of Sanman’s Bubble Series on April 30. Mama was supposed to fight Moruti Mthalane in South Africa but the bout was called off with Mthalane set to face Sunny Edwards. Jayson is eager to face the winner of the said fight.
"I was disappointed with the cancellation of my fight against Mthalane. I trained so hard and was ready to beat him in his own turf. I believe God has better plans. I will do my best to look impressive on April 30 and hopefully get a shot on Edwards-Mthalane winner. I am not overlooking any opponent. I have trained just as hard for this fight. I have to win explosively in order to get the Mthalane fight for real. I am grateful to my Sanman team for the opportunity of being to fight and stay active”, Mama said.
For Sanman CEO Jim Claude Manangquil, the Mthalane fight cancellation was just a minor setback. “Jayson will eventually face him should he win against Edwards. We badly want that fight and we will get him that fight. Jayson needs to focus on Friday and win impressively. He is a hardworking kid and will definitely become a world champion”, Manangquil said.
