FIRST 2021 EDITION OF 3.2.1. BOXING RETURNS ON FEBRUARY 21ST

PhilBoxing.com

CORONA, CA (February 2, 2021) – Thompson Boxing Promotions will return on Sunday, February 21, 2021, with the first edition of its popular series 3.2.1. Boxing, showcasing three action-packed fights. Undefeated welterweight Saul Bustos (13-0-1, 7 KOs), of Los Angeles, Ca, will return to the ring against Todd Manuel (18-17, 5 KOs), of New Orleans, LA, in an eight-round main event.

The free stream will air live on the Thompson Boxing Promotions website (www.thompsonboxing.com), as well as their Facebook and YouTube pages, in addition to Fight Hub TV. 3.2.1. Boxing will take place at the Omega Products International Event Center in Corona, CA, and will start at 3:30 p.m. PT / 6:30 p.m. ET.

"I am happy to return to the ring after such a big win in my last bout against Luis Lopez," said Bustos. "I have been training hard with my coach Manny Robles, and I am ready to make a statement and put the division on notice."

Manuel, standing tall at 6’2”, is a battle tested warrior that will look to give Bustos his first loss. Although Manuel hasn’t fought since the pandemic lock-down started, he has been training hard and is poised to spoil Bustos raise in the welterweight division.

"I am going to make this fight rough for Bustos," said Todd Manuel. "I know who I am as a fighter, and I have been through a lot, and Bustos will be in for a tough fight against me. I have way more experience than him and it will be the main factor on why I will win this fight. I’ll be in great shape as I’ve been training this whole time I’ve been out of the ring.”

In the 6-round co-feature, middleweight Richard “Cool Breeze” Brewart Jr. (8-0, 4 KO), of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, will face fellow undefeated foe, Nathan Weston (6-0-2, 2 KOs), of Atlanta, GA.

“I learned a lot in my last fight, and I am better than ever,” said Brewart Jr. “My goal is to get another knockout win with the hopes of fighting for a regional title by the end of the year. I know that with a great promoter like Thompson Boxing, it is possible.”

“I have big plans to go into Brewart’s backyard and pull out a victory,” stated Weston. “I’m undefeated for a reason and it's time to show everyone that I’m the real deal. I’m going to make it a dog fight. Brewart has no clue what he’s getting into.”

In the opening 4-round bout, Nelson Oliva of Fontana, CA, will be making his pro debut against a fighter TBA. Oliva, a middleweight, was a standout in the amateur ranks.

“Both Bustos and Brewart had very good performances on our last events, and we're excited to have them back,” said promoter Ken Thompson. “We want to make fights that fans want to see and this card fits that mold.”

“Bustos and Brewart have become staples of the our events and with these fights they should continue their journey to the top,” said Alex Camponovo, Thompson Boxing's general manager and creator of 3.2.1 Boxing. “We expect to start the year with a bang and we think that these matchups will do just that.”

Beto Duran will operate as the blow-by-blow commentator with expert commentary by Doug Fischer and the returning Steve Kim. Jessica Rosales will serve as the onsite ringside reporter.

3.2.1 Boxing is sponsored by Thompson Building Materials, transforming spaces in beautiful places; Omega Products International, the leading stucco manufacturer in the United States; Henry / Fortifiber, moisture system control as easy as 1,2,3; and Makita, rule the outdoors.
