ANTILLON FINISHED OFF BOBBY PACQUIAO IN ONE
By Ed de la Vega, DDS PhilBoxing.com Fri, 14 Mar 2008

LAS VEGAS -- Urbano Antillon showed everyone who was at the Hard Rock Resort Casino tonight that he is somebody to really reckon with in his weight division.
In less than a round, Antillon methodically stalked BobPac and finally got him with a double left hook to the liver that dropped BobPac for good.
BobPac could have lasted longer and who knows may have salvaged a victory if he followed instructions from his corner. He was told to stay away for a few rounds and feel his way around and look for weaknesses on the part of Antillon. However, BobPac opted to involved himself in an exchange with Antillon from the get go.
At the beginning he was not doing too badly. He was dishing out as much as he was receiving. That apparently made him feel that he can win the fight.
However, when he was hit on the liver, he just crumbled in pain. And who would not, with punch like what Antillon threw at him.
Bobby?s misfortune disappointed the many Filipinos who came to support him. But such is the fight game. You win one and you lose one.
Just about the only positive about the incident is the fact that later on after the fight, Bobby has fully recovered and showed no after effects of the blow he received from Antillon.
What is now next for Bobby?
Simple!
Back to the drawing board. Bobby is young and he has more years ahead of him.
