Romero Conquers WBA Interim 135-Lbs Belt

Unbeaten 135-pound slugger Rolando “Rollies” Romero (12-0, 10 KO’s) of the Floyd Mayweather stable decisioned game Dominican Republic warrior Jackson Maríñez (19-1, 7 KO’s) in a 12-round unanimous decision win to claim the vacant WBA interim lightweight 👑 crown.
Romero’s title win unfolded Saturday night (Sunday morning in Manila) at the plush Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, USA. 👍👍
Born in Las Vegas 🇺🇸 USA, Romero’s Cuban dad was a 3-time Cuban National Champion. 🥊
His sister, also a high-level athlete, is a former 7-time national Judo champion. ⭐️
The younger Romero began competing in Judo at the young age of 9. ✅
He later on switched to boxing, and now the 24-year-old Cuban-American is a WBA titlist under the wing of promoter Floyd “Money” Mayweather. 🔥🔥
