Results from Thailand: Yordan Claims WBC Asian Belt; Padyod, Yadav, Yokubov Stop Foes By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Wed, 07 Aug 2019  Former IBO Featherweight and Lightweight Champion Daud "Chino" Yordan (39-4, 27 KO's) has just got back into combat mode, stopping Thai veteran warrior Aekkawee Kaewmanee (21-12, 10 KO's) during the rough action of chapter five to claim the newly created WBC Asian "International Challenge" Super Lightweight Title yesterday at the Bone Night Club in Pattaya, Kingdom of Thailand. The battle was Yordan's return to the square ring after being outpointed by then lightweight world champion Anthony Crolla (34-7-3, 13 KO's) last November at the Manchester Arena. After the win, the 32-year-old Indonesian handled by Thailand's Mahkota Promotions feels ready for tougher missions in the 140-pound division. In the co-main event, unbeaten Thai 140-pounder Padyod Keartjareunsiri, 24, outsmarted fellow Thai warrior Tomorn Pitakwattanakul, 25, for a unanimous decision win. No fighter was decked, but the superiority of Payod was crystal clear as reflected in the official tallies 59-55 (three times), all for Payod, a former Muay Thai combatant now wanting to roughen up opponents in the world of pro boxing. He is one of the promising stars in Thailand's Evolution Fight Series. Also, hard-hitting 24-year-old Indian welterweight Vaibhav Singh Yadav (7-1, 5 KO's) needed two frames to score a stoppage win over unheralded Thai fighter Nattapong Thanchareon, 30, a warrior of heart and determination, but lacking the skills needed to handle Yadav's speed and power. The battle was scheduled for six stanzas, but Yadav cut it short.  Young Thai promoters of Evolution Fight Series developing boxing in the Kingdom of Smiles. In addition, unbeaten Uzbekistan lightweight Murodjon Yokubov (4-0, 3 KO's) used less than three minutes to completely overpower Thai veteran warrior Jirapat Jorajan (aka Petchchumphol Sor Visetki), leaving the journeyman beaten up without air. Yokubov, 25, belongs to the Evolution Fight Series Stable and trains in Pattaya, Thailand, with head coach Andre Korneev. The televised card -- part of the on going Evolution Fight Series -- was a production of Alexander Shah in association with Joshua Peatfield, Mahkota Promotions Raja Raja and Sapta Oktohari.
