OMANZ-MALCO HEADLINES SINULOG BOXING THIS SUNDAY PhilBoxing.com Fri, 18 Jan 2008 Youth will showcase the feast of the young patron of Cebu, Se?or Sto. Ni?o, in a boxing extravaganza dubbed simply as ?Sinulog Boxing? at the Gaisano Country Mall parking Area on Sunday, Jan 20. ALA Gym jewel Jomanz Omanz will face RP No. 7 Pedro ?Mayorga? Malco of Butuan City in a non-title match that would severely test the capability of Omanz to follow the footsteps of knockout artist AJ ?Bazooka? Banal. Omanz is packed with strong promise in the bantamweight division with his sterling record of 10-0-0, KOs 6. Three of his demolitions came within the first round, and five within the second round. His latest job was Regie Binueza in Danao City on Dec 23 who kissed the mat in round two. But Omanz will go through the heat as mardigras dancers would this Sinulog when his mettle would be tested by veteran campaigner Malco who got 30 professional fights in his belt. The 29-year-old Malco (14-14-2, KOs 5) debuted in Oct 2000, and has waged war in the rings of Japan, Thailand, the United States, and Australia on top of his active presence in Luzon and Visayas. He is well-known for his staying power and fighting the distance against such heavy-handed prizefighters as the reigning WBO World and Asia Pacific bantamweight champ Ratanachai Sor Vorapin. The 5-bout card opens with Yao Ming Zaspa of Bantayan Island slugging out a 4-rounder against Chersmar Caballes of the Yu Stable in Butuan City. Two 4-rounders follow between Mark Jesson Taroja of Esperanza, Agusan del Sur and new opponent Leo Torres of Eastern Samar and between Pedro Salondro of San Remegio and Hilario Canillas of Lotupan, Toledo City. Rolito Nengasca of Barili will exchange blows with Rufino Mante of Tagbilaran City. Sinulog Boxing is a free fiesta entertainment for boxing fans brought to you by joint inflammation KO supplement ARTHRO, Life Prolong Natural Supplements Inc (maker of male sexual performance booster PENREX and itch-stopping specialist FUNGISOL), and Yukka Halopainen. |
