Cheong fights Wahid in Hong Kong May 12

ORIENT and Pacific Boxing Federation Youth flyweight champion Lap Cheong Cheong of Macao will fight Muhammad Wahid of Indonesia on May 12 in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center in Hon Kong.
The 22-year old Cheong (5W-0L, 4KO) TKO?d Hans Raj Thakur of India last Dec. 31, 2018 in Macao.
He knockout both Aphirat Saephua and Nattapol Wongzuy also in Thailand in 2018.
The 23-year old Wahid (4W-1L, 1KO) knockout Yudi Golota last Nov. 15, 2017 in Sukadana.
But he lost to Bin Zhou by unanimous decision in China last June 1, 2018.
Meanwhile, 2017 All-Nippon Rookie of the Year Ren Sasaki (8W-0L, 5KO) of Japan will fight Ge An Ma (6W-0L, 1KO) of China in the undercard.
The 24-year old Sasaki beat Kanehiro Nakagawa in Korakuen Hall by a majority decision in the super bantamweight last Sept. 4, 2018.
Ma, 25, beat Diarh Gabutan of the Philippines by unanimous decision last Jan. 17, 2018 in China. (Lito delos Reyes)
