CONCEPCION BATTLES HERIBERTO RUIZ!

After Philboxing.com broke the news that the Bernabe Concepcion-Juan Manuel Lopez eliminator has been shelved, reliable sources are now indicating that the Filipino young star will now face Heriberto "Cuate" Ruiz for the NABF superbantam title in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico.
The 30-year-old Ruiz, a vetera of 45 fights (37-6-2, 22 KO's), hails from Los Mochis, Mexico and is on a two-bout winning streak following a failed bid at the NABF bantam title.
Aljoe Jaro, who manages Concepcion, yesterday indicated that they could not do anything if Juan Manuel Lopez developed cold feet on the prospect of facing his boy, although his camp was still happy Concepcion would still be seeing action in the card.
"Natakot na siguro yung si Lopez katulad nung natakot mong kababayan. Di natin sya masisi," said Jaro.
