PACMAN ASSURES BOXING FANS BRONER FIGHT WILL PUSH THROUGH By Aquiles Z. Zonio PhilBoxing.com Fri, 28 Dec 2018 LOS ANGELES ? WORLD eight-division boxing champion and current World Boxing Association (WBA) Welterweight king Manny Pacquiao allayed fears his Jan. 19 title showdown against Adrien Broner is in jeopardy. ?The fight is a go. Broner was arrested for another brush with the law but he was able to post bail,? Pacquiao declared during an interview shortly after his road run at the Pan Pacific Park early Thursday morning here. TMZ Sports reported that Broner was arrested just before Christmas in Broward County, Florida. Broner was reportedly apprehended for failure to appear in court earlier this month. Citing court records, TMZ reported that Broner was booked in jail but was later released. The arrest warrant was an offshoot of his December 2017 case involving driving offense ? driving without license, speeding, no registration or proof of insurance. ?I believe Broner is professional. He knows what is at stake in this fight. So, I?m not worried about him. He will show up during the fight,? Pacquiao said. Manny Pacquiao works out early morning Thursday in Los Angeles. Pacquiao was in excellent mood Thursday morning after skipping his gym workout the day before. ?Obviously, our fighting senator was able to get enough rest last night. I noticed, he performs well when he is well rested,? Raides ?Nonoy? Neri, assistant strength and conditioning coach, bared. Neri added that Pacquiao showed signs of jetlag during gym training the previous days. ?Aside from jet lag, he was on the process of acclimatizing to the new environment. He?s out of the US for about two years,? Neri further said. Neri was expecting a better performance from the Pinoy boxing icon during the sparring session Thursday afternoon. Meanwhile, tickets to the Pacquiao vs. Broner title fight are now on sale. Tickets are priced at $1,500, $1,000, $750, $500, $300, $200, $100, not including applicable service charges.
