MARQUEZ TELLS PACQUIAO: "STOP RUNNING, WE HAVE A SCORE TO SETTLE"

PhilBoxing.com

MEXICAN LEGEND DEMANDS MANNY PACQUIAO TO STOP RUNNING, HIDING AND FACE HIM ONCE AND FOR ALL TO SATISFY BOXING PUBLIC

LOS ANGELES, CA, November, 21. --- Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez is tired of listening to Manny Pacquiao?s variety of excuses for a rematch, and wants to make public that the Filipino icon has to commit now and please the boxing world that is demanding this awaited battle.

Marquez, the current WBC Super featherweight champion of the World, is ready for this epic rematch after defeated Ex Olympian Ricardo Rocky Juarez, while Pacquiao did the same with a victory over legendary Mexican gladiator Marco Antonio Barrera. Now both legends are ready to face each other for this long awaited fight for all boxing fans, but the Filipino idol says he doesn?t want to know anything about the Aztec champion.

?I always said that the Filipino fighters are similar to the Mexicans with their never say die attitude, but now Manny [Pacquiao] has disappointed me and will disappoint all his fans around the World. He?s coming up with many excuses for not wanting to fight me?, said an upset Juan Manuel Marquez.

?What?s wrong with Pacquiao? First of all, he complains about the weight class and I compromise to face him as high as the lightweight division, then he comments that the money was an issue, and I responded that wasn?t a problem, I?m willing to take a pay cut to please the fans. Pacquiao also commented that he rather challenge for the lightweight title. All this is an indication that he?s really scared, and doesn?t want any part of me. He knows I?m the only man who can beat him, I?ll destroy him?, said Marquez.

Marquez and Pacquiao fought on May 8 2004, and after three knockdowns in the first round, the two time World champion got up and gave an extraordinary effort to secure a draw. Many spectators felt that the Mexican gladiator deserved the victory.

?Honestly, I believe that Pacquiao knows I?m the only one who can beat him. He has no choice but to avoid me. Doesn?t he want to be a Champion of the world? If he really believes he is ?The Mexican Killer? then he needs to fight me and prove it once and for all. I have millions of Mexican fight fans that think I?m his worse nightmare. Be a man!!! We both know that we have a score to settle?.
