PACQUIAO'S MOTHER RUSHED TO HOSPITAL
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Wed, 10 Oct 2007
 Dionesia Pacquiao.
Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao?s mother Dionisia was rushed to hospital after she fainted and according to the attending physician Dr. Lamberto Chomi she was suffering from "chronic fatigue syndrome." However, he said there was nothing to worry about.
When Viva Sports/Manila Standard Today checked yesterday afternoon she was resting comfortably at her room in St. Elizabeth Hospital in General Santos City.
Dr. Chomi said that Dionisia Pacquiao?s blood sugar was low even after meals and it could cause "loss of consciousness" if not checked in time. He said she was "exhausted both physically and mentally and may have been worried about Manny?s fight" last Sunday against Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera in Las Vegas.
Dr. Chomi said Ms. Pacquiao needs rest.
A very religious woman and a regular churchgoer, Ms. Pacquiao is often unable to stand watching Manny?s fights especially if there are moments when he gets hit and appears hurt.
During his fight with Juan Manuel Marquez she began rubbing her chest midway during the fight and left, saying she couldn?t stand watching much longer.
Pacquiao and his entourage return home today and he is expected to receive a rousing welcome before flying to GenSan to visit his mother.
