CEBU CITY -- Mark 'Magnifico' Magsayo (16-0-0, 12KOs) made short work of Issa Nampepeche (24-8-4, 11KOs) of Tanzania dispatching the visitor in the very first round of the scheduled 10-round featherweight contest on the main undercard of the Donnie Nietes vs Komgrich Nantapech IBF world flyweight championship at the Waterfront Hotel & Casino here Saturday night.

Magsayo connected with a well-timed counter left cross midway in the first roound that sent Nampepeche to the seat of his pants. Jeo Santisima (R) throws a right against Master Suro of Indonesia.

Jeo 'Santino' Santisima (13-2-0, 11KOs) sent Master Suro (11-9-1, 2KOs) of Indonesia to the canvas in the 6th round and deliverd a dominant performance to earn a shutout unanimous decision with all three judges gave all the rounds to Santisima, 100-89. Master Suro exhibited good head and body movement that allowed him to evade Santisima's bombs. In the fifth, Santisima connected with hard body and head shots. In the 6th Santisima finally caught Suro with a couple of head shots in Suro's corner that sent Suro to the canvas for the first time. Suro used his wily defensive moves to finish the fight.

Other completed bouts:

Virgel Vitor (10-1-0, 6KOs) of Tagbilaran City defeated Michael Escobia (11-15-1, 3KOs) by unanimous decision with scores of 97-93, 96-94 and 96-94. Vitor had an impressive 3rd and 4th rounds, peppering Escobia with combinations to the head and body.
