CHOI WINS WBO TITLE IN KOREA!

Former Jr flyweight WBC world champion Yo-Sam Choi of Seoul, South Korea captured the WBO Intercontinental vacant flyweight title against Thailand's Terkiet Jandaeng at Gwangjingu Hall, Korea.
Fans were mostly on their feet to cheer their local hero throughout the fight urging the champion on, it was a tough affair for the former WBC world champion getting into heated exchanges for twelve rounds with the Thai warrior.
However, Yo-Sam Choi used his tactical skills to out-box Jandaeng to a unanimous decision, scores as follows: Filipino judge Joni Davis 119-108, Dong Ahn Park 120-107, Kim Jae Keun 120-108.
With this win and with a record of 31win-5loss-19ko, Choi is seeking to get another crack at the world title, against current WBO flyweight champion Omar Narvaez of Argentina.
The promoter and manager of Yo sam Choi was so elated of the win that they couldn't be more happy but to hold the WBO Intercontinental belt up in the air for a long period after the announcement of their win for everyone in the arena to be proud of. Korea Commissioner Major Lee commended the professionalism of the WBO Asia Pacific officials and the referee's decision Mr. Sawaeng Thaweekoon to deduct a point when the Thai fighter spitted out the mouth piece several times during the 7th round.
Supervisor of the bout was no less than the WBO Vice President and Chairman of the Asia Pacific, Mr. Leon Panoncillo, who is credited for making the WBO title such a prestige position and most wanted title in the Asia Pacific rim thus far.
