JOE SMITH ENDS HOPKINS' CAREER OUT OF THE RING (PHOTOS)

Joe Smith Jr of Long Island, New York ended future hall of famer Bernard Hopkins' illustrious career out of the ring after he sent Hopkins through the ropes with a barrage of punches in the eight round at The Forum in Inglewood, California Saturday night and capture the WBC International light heavyweight title.
Scores were close after seven rounds. Tim Cheatham had it 67-66 for Smith, Pat Russell had it 67-66 for Hopkins and Tom Taylor had it 69-64 for Smith.
Former two-division champion Hopkins (55-8-2, 32KOs) who will turn 52 years old next month, vowed that Saturday night's fight against Smith will be his Final 1.
