EARLY RESULTS FROM HOPKINS-SMITH UNDERCARD: MORALES WINS OVER HUERTA; FIRST 3 BOUTS END IN KOs

Below are the early undercard fight results on the Bernard Hopkins vs Joe Smith Jr WBC International light heavyweight championship at The Forum in Inglewood, California Saturday night.

In the 4th bout for the NABA super featherweight title scheduled for 10 rounds, Carlos Morales (15-1-3, 6KOs) of Los Angeles, CA won via split decision over Charles Huerta (18-5, 10KOs) of Paramount, CA (top photo). Scores: 96-93 and 95-94 for Morales and 96-93 for Huerta.
In the 3rd bout, undefeated lightweight Christian Gonzalez (l6-0-0, 14KO) of Buena Park, CA stopped Jonathan Perez (36-16, 28KOs) of Miami, FL in their 8-round scheduled lightweight bout. Time: 24 seconds of the 3rd.
in the 2nd bout scheduled for 8 rounds lightweight, Ivan Delgado (11-0-1, 4KOs) of Los Angeles knocked out Roberto Rivera (6-4, 5KOs) of Tijuana, Mexico in the 6th round. Time: 1 minute 18 seconds.
In the opening bout, Joet Gonzalez (15-0, 7KOs) of Glendora, CA knocked out Jairo Hernandez (15-11, 8KOs) of Torreon, MX in the 4th round of the 6-rounds scheduled featherweight contest. Time: 2:40.
