OSCAR DE LA HOYA FOUNDATION HOSTS 20th ANNUAL HOLIDAY TOY GIVEAWAY AT THE FORUM IN CITY OF INGLEWOOD PhilBoxing.com Sun, 18 Dec 2016  LOS ANGELES (Dec. 17, 2016) - The Oscar De La Hoya Foundation kicked off this year's season of giving with its 20th Annual Holiday Toy Giveaway today at the "Fabulous" Forum in the City of Inglewood. Oscar De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, was joined by Golden Boy Promotions champion and rising star fighters to distribute toys to families from the East and South Los Angeles communities including Jorge Linares, WBC Diamond, WBA & Ring Magazine Lightweight World Champion; Abraham "Chamaco" Lopez, WBA-NABA Featherweight Champion; Zachary "Zungry" Ochoa, Super Lightweight prospect; Emilio Sanchez,Super Bantamweight prospect; Ivan "Striker" Delgado, Lightweight prospect; Jonathan "Thunder" Navarro, Lightweight Prospect; Edgar Valerio, Featherweight prospect; and Genaro "El Conde" Gamez,Super Featherweight prospect. Families that received gifts were pre-selected in partnership with churches and organizations in the East and South LA communities. The toy giveaway preceded the "Final 1" fight before the retirement for former two-division world champion Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins (55-7 2, 32 KOs) who will face off against Joe Smith, Jr. (22-1, 18 KOs) for the WBC International Light Heavyweight Championship tonight at the "Fabulous" Forum. The bout will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing? beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
