BRENT MOORE READY TO DETHRONE KING ON SUNDAY
PhilBoxing.com Thu, 08 Dec 2016

BRENT MOORE will be out to finish the year for the TGW & Smithy's Promotions team with a bang when he takes on Salar King in Brisbane Sunday.
Moore and King clash in a six round middleweight bout on the Christmas Boxing Bash card promoted by Tuff Technique Boxing at the Hamilton Hotel.
"This is a big opportunity for me," Brent Moore said.
"Salar is a tough, quality opponent who I have great respect for.
"I'm keen to get back into the ring.
"I haven't fought since May when I was defeated by Aaron Phillips and I feel I've learned plenty since that bout.
"Every fight is a learning curve and I feel I'm a better fighter now and I've worked on a lot of things in the gym.
"I've had a great preparation in the gym with Brendon Smith and Corban Kanaveilomani.
"A big thanks to Corb and Brendon, they've both put a lot of work into me to get me ready.
"I'll give it my all and hopefully it's enough to get the victory.
"While I have huge respect for Salar and have no doubt it's going to be a really tough fight I'm confident if I fight to my best I can win it."
Moore is two wins and two losses from four pro fights while Salar King has recorded four wins from ten bouts.
King's most recent loss came at the hands of Aaron Phillips by majority decision in Toowoomba last month.
Brent Moore was ringside.
"This is a good fight for Brent," Assistant trainer Corban Kanoveilomani said.
"Brent has really worked well for this bout and has been very focussed in the gym.
"Salar is a big challenge but a challenge I'm confident Brent is up to.
"Salar has a lot more experience than Brent but the rounds that Brent has done in the gym with the likes of Kris George, Jack Asis, Steven Spark, Brent Rice and many others should hopefully negate the experience factor.
"On paper this is a great fight, it should be a crowd pleaser and hopefully Brent can have his hand raised at the end."
