ALBERT PAGARA FIGHTS FOR REDEMPTION

Philippines' ?Prince? Albert Pagara returns to the ring on November 26 at the Cebu Coliseum for Pinoy Pride 39: Road to Redemption.
Previously undefeated before he fought and lost to now WBO Intercontinental Jr. Featherweight champion Cesar Juarez of Mexico, Pagara was aiming for a world title shot hopefully after two more fights. Juarez won by technical knockout 15 seconds into the eighth round of the championship held at the San Mateo Event Center, San Mateo California earlier in July.
In one of his interviews, Albert shares that he went through a lot after his first loss. ?I did think about a lot of things. But what made me realize that I want to pursue this career is the encouraging words and support I received from the people that matter most. I told myself I could handle one loss and make the experience an inspiration to push me to be better instead.?
Now fighting alongside his brother Jason and under the Melindo-Sakkreerin IBF World Jr. Flyweight Eliminator, the younger Pagara is determined to give an exceptional performance to rise back up his division?s ranking and prove everyone he is far from giving up his dream of becoming a world champion. Not looking past his first fight after the San Mateo upset, ?Prince? Albert shared he is ready; ?I want to move forward. I admit I have a lot of things I still need to learn to stay and be on the level I want to be as a fighter, but I am working hard to help myself. I?ve been training for this fight and I want to assure my fans they will see a much better Albert.?
Albert Pagara fights former WBA bantamweight title holder Raymond Commey (16-2-0) of Africa in a 10-round, non-title bout on November 26.
