CONDES-RACHMAN REMATCH SET ON NOV. 16 IN ANTIPOLO

A much-awaited rematch between IBF minimumweight champion Florante "The Little Pacquiao" Condes and dethroned champion Muhammad Rachman will take place on November 16 at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo City, Rizal.
This was confirmed yesterday by Condes' manager Aljoe Jaro, who also revealed that his other ward, superbantamweight Bernabe 'The Real Deal' Concepcion, will be seeing action on the undercard against a Mexican opponent.
"The fight is on. Rachman is the opponent. We have the sponsors and the venue. We'll see you there," Jaro told this writer in an interview yesterday.
Jaro also mentioned that reports coming out of Mexico regarding a September 22 defense against Mexican Raul Garcia are all press releases, and that the Filipino world champion will not accede to a fight in Mexico.
"He has just gone back to training yesterday. That fight is not happening," Jaro stated.
Condes, a devastating southpaw, wrested the IBF title from Rachman with a split decision verdict when they first met last July 7 at the RCTI TV Studio in Jakarta, Indonesia.
