Super featherweight Mercito Gesta of Mandaue City has a successful U.S. debut by winning via majority decision over a very tough and game Carlos Madrid of El Paso, Texas at the All-State Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, 15rounds.com has reported from ringside.

Gesta now improved his record to 11-0-1 (3 KOS). Gesta last fought on Dec. 16, 2005 in Kidapawan City as a super bantam.
