HALLMARK OF A GOOD LEADER

PhilBoxing.com

Boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, once again, had shown to the world what kind of stuff he?s made of ? fearless & outspoken.

Pacquiao is not a traditional type of politician who shivers in fear when confronted with great challenge.

In politics, he remains a man of his own. He hasn?t been swallowed by the detestable and despicable system gripping this hapless country.

He has never compromised his votes in the Halls of Congress in exchange for money. It?s a public knowledge that in Congress bribery seems the order of the day in ensuring the passage of many administration-sponsored legislative measures.

He managed to keep his dignity and principle intact.

In his district, he goes out of his way by spending his own hard-earned money to help the people especially the needy.

Since he became a congressman of Sarangani, the personal funds he spent for projects and social services were more than double the budget allocated by the government for his legislative district.

Pacquiao is the kind of a leader this country needs at the moment. God-fearing. Strong but compassionate. Fearless yet so humble. He?s a leader with a good heart.

He earned the ire of some homosexuals for voicing out his personal views and belief about same-sex marriage.

Truth indeed hurts. The Bible says so in Hebrews 4:12, ?For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.?

Mundane creatures simply refuse to accept they are wallowing in sin.

They ganged up on Pacquiao for making a hard stance against same-sex marriage. Despite his sincere apology, they berated and insulted him.

Pacquiao remains unyielding and forgiving vis-?-vis the people spewing diatribes against him. He said they understand their tirades because they don?t know the Bible.

Many lily-livered leaders, for fear of a political backlash, refused and hesitated to confront the truth. Not Manny Pacquiao. He?s a true fighter not just inside the boxing ring.

He apologized for hurting the sensibilities of those belonging to the LGBT community, but he stands by the truth and for what he believes is right.

This is the hallmark of a good leader. A good leader isn?t afraid to take a stand, no matter how unpopular, for the sake of truth. A true leader will always uphold what is right before the eyes of God.

Submission to the will of God is not bigotry or hypocrisy rather a discernment and an enlightenment brought about by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

LGBTs who are engaged in same-sex relationship must read the Bible, start a profound soul-searching and seek help and guidance from the Holy Spirit. This is the only way for us to be strong. This is the only way for us to see the truth.

In John 8:32, the Bible says ?And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.?

Jesus Christ was crucified by his own people for saying the truth. So, Manny Pacquiao has nothing to worry about. You are in good company.

A leader has the moral responsibility to guide and lead his people towards the right path. Manny Pacquiao is doing the right thing. Go! Continue preaching what is right and Godly.

Pacquiao sparked an uproar from people who refuse to believe what God says in the Bible. That?s expected. In the Book of Revelation, it was stated that those who believe in God and spread the truth about salvation will be persecuted.

The Lord Jesus, in reference to persecution for His sake, said in Matthew 5:10-12, "Rejoice, and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great.?

Members of the LGBT community should take Pacquiao?s statement positively. Their negative reactions, however, unveiled what?s inside their hearts.

If you read the people?s reactions on social media, those who rallied behind Pacquiao?s stand dwarfed the number of the combined sympathizers of Aiza Seguerra, Vice Ganda and Boy Abunda.

How about calling a boycott on the shows hosted by Vice Ganda and Boy Abunda? How about campaigning not to buy Aiza Seguerra?s albums?

Surely, Pacquiao will never like the idea. Unlike his current detractors, Pacquiao is so kindhearted and forgiving. He?s capable of loving even his enemies.

His strong belief in God transformed him from being a man of vices to a man of God. His life not just as a world-class athlete but also as a mortal being is truly inspiring.

To me, his greatest accomplishment in life is not in boxing but in conquering the worldly temptations in his life day after day.
