Gesta Off June 9 Card!

Featherweight prospect Mercito 'Guerrero' Gesta has been taken off the big June 9 Top Rank card at the Madison Square Garden after organizers could not find an opponent for the now 143-lb fighter.
Reports coming out of the United States indicate that the fighter has now gained so much weight that organizers had a hard time looking for an opponent.
Gesta, however, is penciled to fight in July if he can move down to a comfortable fighting weight.
With Gesta now off the show, he joins another Filipino Bernabe Concepcion who also begged off due to a recurring hand injury which acted up once again during his last fight in Texas.
