QTV 11 SPECIAL ON TOP TEN IN FILIPINO BOXING GREATS

The discussions continue on who is the top choice among scores of Filipino boxing greats and QTV 11 which conducted a poll over the past couple of weeks will telecast a special on the results at 6:00 p.m. this Sunday including rare footage of some of the fights.
Among the contenders for the top spot are the late world junior lightweight champion Gabriel "Flash" Elorde, Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao, the first Filipino world champion who was enshrined in the Hall of Fame Pancho Villa as well as Olympic Games silver medallists Anthony Villanueva and Onyok Velasco who were also thrown into the mix.
Among those who were polled was a select group of boxing writers and commentators. Among the well-known TV personalities and columnists were Ed Picson, Quinito Henson, Ed Tolentino and Chino Trinidad among others. They picked the top ten and explained their choices.
Among the other outstanding world champions vying for honors on the show are brothers Gerry and Dodie Boy Penalosa, former world flyweight champion Erbito Salavarria and ex world junior lightweight champion Rolando Navarrette.
