Hawn, Felix highlight main card of CES MMA XXVIII PhilBoxing.com Thu, 26 Feb 2015  RHODE ISLAND NATIVE Luis Felix will make his third consecutive AXS TV appearance on Friday, March 13th, 2015 when he stars on the main card of "CES MMA XXVIII" in a three-round lightweight bout against Rich Patishnock of Pennsylvania at Twin River Casino in Lincoln, R.I. Felix is part of a stacked card featuring several fighters with experience competing on national television. Headlined by Bellator vet Hawn and fan-favorite Felix, CES MMA returns to AXS TV LINCOLN, R.I. (Feb. 26th, 2015) -- CES MMA returns to the national spotlight with its most dynamic show yet, a stacked card featuring veterans who've graced the sport's biggest stage time and time again. With Rick Hawn, Greg Rebello, Mike Mucitelli and Kin Moy, among others, all scheduled to appear on the main card of "CES MMA XXVIII," scheduled for Friday, March 13th, 2015 on AXS TV live from Twin River Casino, the fighters stepping into the cage next month have combined for 28 Bellator Fighting Championships and an additional three appearances in the World Series of Fighting (WSOF). Stage fright won't be an issue, which is appropriate considering CES MMA has become one of the biggest, most sought-after stages in mixed martial arts thanks to its growing relationship with AXS TV, introducing fresh, new talent to a worldwide audience. The trend continues March 13th with the second installment of CES MMA's 2015 fight series. Hawn (19-4, 11 KOs), a 14-time Bellator vet from Dracut, Mass., makes his CES MMA and Twin River debut in the main event against fellow lightweight and Bellator alum Derek Loffer (9-2, 6 KOs) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, while fan-favorite Luis Felix (12-8, 4 KOs) of Providence, R.I., makes his third AXS TV appearance in the co-feature against lightweight Rich Patishnock (6-2, 1 KO) of East Stroudsburg, Pa. "I've never really had a problem with nerves or anything like that for big fights," Hawn said. "I had a couple of title shots with Bellator - a lot of pressure, lots of media scrutiny. I've been doing this a couple of years now. "I've adjusted to being the main event. I'm very excited about it." All fights and fighters are subject to change. The main card also features the television debut of bantamweight Andre Soukhamthath (8-2, 4 KOs) of Woonsocket, R.I. (Boca Raton, Fla.), who'll face New York native and Bombsquad vet Brian Kelleher (11-7, 5 KOs), plus the return of Providence cruiserweight Greg Rebello (17-6, 9 KOs) in a three-round bout against seasoned vet Mike Mucitelli (7-1, 1 KO) of Syracuse. Pawtucket, R.I., middleweight Todd Chattelle (12-11, 9 KOs) returns to the CES MMA cage for a record 12th time looking to snap a two-fight losing streak when he faces the dangerous Roger Carroll (15-11), who has submitted 14 of his 15 victims. Also on the televised card, Hollis, N.H., bantamweight Joey Gomez (5-0, 5 KOs) puts his unbeaten record on the line against poised veteran Kin Moy (6-1, 2 KOs) of Cambridge, Mass., the only fighter to beat fellow bantamweight Soukhamthath in the past four years. "I want a war," Gomez said. "I've been wanting a Micky Ward-Arturo Gatti fight. I want someone who'll test me as a fighter." The star-studded undercard features the return of rising stars Kyle Bochniak (4-0, 1 KO) and Lewis Corapi (6-1, 3 KOs). Bochniak, a Boston native, faces featherweight Dominic Warr (4-5, 1 KO) of Allston, Mass., while the Medford, Mass., vet Corapi battles Jay Bakanowski (2-1, 1 KO) of Northborough, Mass. Flyweight Chad Kelly (3-1, 1 KO) faces newcomer Jesse Gutierrez of Norwood, Mass.; Warwick, R.I., welterweight Tommy Venticinque (1-2) returns against Toby Oden (1-1) of Milford, Mass.; and Boston featherweight James Grant Murrin (2-0, 2 KOs) battles Brockton, Mass., vet Lionel Young (6-14). Female bantamweights Sarah Payant of West Springfield, Mass., and Janice Meyer of Cortland, N.Y., each make their professional debuts against one another in a three-round bout.
