5 Questions with Pablo Cesar Cano, Diego De La Hoya and Chinese sensation Taishan

FIGHTERS ON the Televised portion of the Feb. 27 Golden Boy Live! AT Fantasy Springs Resort Casino CARD take time to share about THEIR LIVES outside of the ring

LOS ANGELES (Feb. 23) - With fight night a few days away, fighters on the televised portion of the Golden Boy Live! card at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on Feb. 27 take some time to answer some of our questions and tell us a little more about themselves.

The Golden Boy Live! broadcast on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes features Pablo Cesar "El Demoledor" Cano (28-4-1, 21 KOs) of Tlalnepantla, Mexico taking on the hard-punching Juan Carlos "Merengue" Abreu (18-1, 17 KOs) of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in an explosive welterweight 10-round bout as the main event. Diego De La Hoya (8-0, 6 KOs) will fight against Manuel "Suavecito" Roman (17-3-3, 6 KOs) in an eight-round super bantamweight co-main event. Chinese heavyweight sensation, Taishan (2-0, 2 KOs) faces off against Roy McCary (3-2, 3 KOs) in the opening four-round televised bout.

Tickets previously purchased for the Randy Caballero vs. Alberto Guevara fight must be exchanged in person at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino box office or by calling (800) 827-2946.

Below is what the fighters had to say about life outside the ring, and some of the answers are quite surprising.

PABLO CESAR "EL DEMOLEDOR" CANO, Welterweight Contender

1. When visiting the United States, what do you miss most about your hometown?

I love to eat and miss the food the most. There is a lot of Mexican food in the United States but it doesn't compare to my hometown.

2. If you weren't boxing, what do you see yourself doing?

I enjoy performing, boxing is a form of that and we put on great shows for the audience. That being said, I would love to continue to perform by acting or singing.

3. After weigh-ins what is your favorite food to eat?

I prohibit myself from seafood when training, but after weigh-ins I like to have seafood or chicken pasta.

4. What are your other hobbies besides boxing?

I love working on cars, doing modifications and making them go faster.

5. Do you have any hidden talents?

Yes, I like to do play by plays of sporting events. I practice with my own fights.

DIEGO DE LA HOYA, Super Bantamweight Prospect

1. When visiting the United States, what do you miss most about your hometown?

I miss my family, spending time with my brothers and the parties with my friends.

2. If you weren't a professional boxer, where do you see yourself?

I am very passionate about sports, especially soccer. I would love to play it professionally as a forward.

3. After weigh-ins what is your favorite food to eat?

When in the United States, I love to eat pasta with steak. When in Mexicali, I love to eat tacos, carne asada and Chinese food.

4. What are your other hobbies besides boxing?

I enjoy spending time with my younger brother and playing video games. It is a good distraction during training. I also enjoy talking with my fans on social media.

5. Do you have any hidden talents?

Of course, I am very good at playing soccer, I love to run, and soccer really challenges me.

TAISHAN, Heavyweight Prospect

1. When visiting the United States, what do you miss most about your hometown?

I miss eating my favorite Chinese meal, which is hot pot, a Chinese soup dish in with meat and vegetables.

2. If you weren't a professional boxer, where do you see yourself?

I would love to try acting. I love action movies and enjoy performing.

3. After weigh-ins what is your favorite food to eat?

I love American hamburgers.

4. What are your other hobbies besides boxing?

I have a lot of hobbies that keep me occupied. I enjoy fishing, playing tennis and watching movies.

5. Do you have any hidden talents?

Yes, I love to sing to Chinese music.
