NBA -- Morris' late 3 helps Suns tame Bucks
By Hector Posa PhilBoxing.com Thu, 08 Jan 2015

MILWAUKEE -- The Phoenix Suns made only seven of the 25 three-pointers they hoisted on Tuesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
But forward Markieff Morris swished the one that mattered the most -- a 27-foot jumper that gave Phoenix a 99-92 lead with 43 seconds to go. The Suns went on to beat the Milwaukee Bucks, 102-96.
Morris finished with 26 and 10 rebounds for the Suns. Isaiah Thomas added 19 points, while Goran Dragic had 16 as Phoenix made 37 of 81 field goals overall.
It was the Suns' third straight win and eight of their last 10. They improved to 21-16, eighth place in the tough Western Conference.
"You can't give them wide-open threes late in the game," said a disappointed head coach Jason Kidd, whose Bucks lost their fourth straight at home.
Brandon Knight finished with 26 points and four assists while Giannis Antetokounmpo pitched in 16 and 12 rebounds, but the Bucks struggled from the field, making only 37 of 88 shots for a low 42 percent clip.
The loss dropped the Bucks back to the .500 mark at 18-18. They're in sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
