KHAN-ALEXANDER UNDERCARD RESULTS: MARES, CHARLO, ORTIZ WIN

Below are the undercard results on the Amir Khan vs Devon Alexander headlinder at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Saturday night:
Comebacking former world champion Abner Mares (28-1-1, 15KO) dropped Jose 'Negro' Ramirez (25-5-0) three times en route to a 5th round TKO victory (top photo).
Jermell Charlo (25-0-0, 11KO) of Houston, TX defeated Mario Lozano (27-6-0, 20KO) of Chihuahua, MX. All three judges scored 100-90 in favor of Charlo.
Earl Spence Jr (15-0-0, 12KO) of Deaoto, TX battered and stopped a very tough Javier Castro (27-8-0, 22KO) of Ciudad Juarez, MX. Time of stoppage was at 2:43 of round number five as Referee Robert Byrd stopped the fight.
Victor Ortiz (30-5-2, 23KO) of Oxnard dropped Manuel Perez (21-11-1, 4KO) of Denver, CO at 51 seconds of round three and won via knockout.
Yoshihiro Kamegai (25-2-1, 21KO) of Tokyo, Japan dropped Oscar Gidoy (13-4-0, 6KO) of San Jose, CA two times in round two and kncoked him out 1:58 of the 4th round.
Beibut Shumenov (15-3-0, 10KO) won via TKO before the start of the 6th over Robert Thomas (14-3-1 9kO). Referee Jack Reiss stopped the fight.
