NBA -- New-look Pistons take on Bulls

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls will take on the Detroit Pistons Wednesday night in their first preseason game at United Center. The Bulls are 3-0 while the Pistons are 2-1 going into the fourth game of the exhibition season.

This will be the first game back at the Madhouse on Madison for Derrick Rose since tearing his ACL 18 months ago. Rose sat out Saturday night?s game against the Washington Wizards in Rio De Janiero, Brazil due to knee soreness.

The game had a sellout crowd, all anticipating seeing the return of the young guard but he never stepped foot on the court. Joakim Noah also sat out as he has yet to play in any preseason game this year. The Bulls are undefeated so far in the preseason keeping their core roster together. Jimmy Butler has been promoted to the starting 2 guard and they seem stronger with Rose coming back into the fold.

The Detroit Pistons are coming into Chicago with a different looking team. Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings were signed during the offseason to help bring Detroit back to their winning ways. The Pistons have been in a rebuilding mode for the past four years, but adding these proven veterans they may be able to bring the Pistons back to playoff contention. Chauncey Billups has also re-signed to his former team where he won an NBA title.

Both teams will be heading into Wednesday?s night game looking to get a scouting report on how each team will play, as these two teams will face each other four more times in the regular season. The times may be different, and this only may be preseason, but the rivalry between these two teams will never die. (KM)
