Filipino Paul John Ortega is ready to show his skills and talents when the 39th Japan Open Men's 10-Ball title 2026 gets going on September 19, 20 and 21 at New Pier Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
"I hope to do well in this event," said Ortega, the pride of Rodriguez, Rizal , who left the country on Saturday aboard Philippine Airlines going to Japan.
Ortega seeks to surpass his top 16 finish in the last year edition.
It shall be recalled that Ortega made it to the Last 16 in the 31st Tokai Grand Prix 10-Ball Tournament held in Nagoya, Japan last July 18-19.
Ortega won first place in the Tokai Grand Prix 10-Ball Tournament 2025 edition.
He is also a semi-finalist in the 2024 Kantou Open and made it to the semifinal round of the 2016 Kansai Open, both held in Japan.
Ortega paid a courtesy visit to the Games and Amusement Board (GAB) Chairman, Atty. Francisco J. Rivera last June.
The 39th Japan Open Men's 10-Ball Champion will earn 150,000 Yen.
Also competing are Erickson Dela Torre Navarrete, Jaycee Cordova Garcia, Ladiana Charles David Doce, Antonio Lining Jr., Paul Kenneth Azuelo Arpilleda, Charis Cabilin Santos, Kayla Carbon Herrera, Anthony Cortes Taga, Cheeya Mei Columa Navarro, Denise Cabilib Santos, Lauro Adem Bongay, John Drahcir Rosca Mauricio, Assis Villegas Tadigue, Saldy Dela Cruz Galliguez, Rami Tabula Gallego,Miguel Deocades Salvilla, Dante Razalan Maravilla Jr., Alliah Beatrize Santos Alfafara and Valeriano Antonio Pajuay Jr.
John Reinbert "Hammerman" Ripay, Meynard Baliguas Tipawan and Kyle Jallorina Amoroto are not competing in the 39th Japan Open according to Ortega.
