Pacquiao undecided about #IceBucketChallenge By Rich Mazon PhilBoxing.com Sat, 06 Sep 2014 New York ? It seems like Manny Pacquiao has not made up his mind yet if he'll participate in the Ice Bucket Challenge phenomenon that has invaded both social and the regular media of late. Pacquiao, who was initially nominated or challenged by upcoming opponent and the man across the dais in New York in the last leg of their promotional tour - Chris Algieri, did not give a definite answer if he will participate in the ALS awareness drive. ?I don?t know. I?ll think about it.? was Pacquiao?s brief reply when Philboxing.com asked the question Thursday afternoon in New York - the last stop of their two-week press tour. The current WBO welterweight champ was also challenged by fellow countryman and fellow champion boxer, Nonito Donaire Jr. and Hollywood actor, Mark Wahlberg who is a fixture in his training camps in LA and in his bouts in Las Vegas. He told Top Rank reporter and host Crystina Poncher last week that he will perform the task after the conclusion of this current promotional tour. "After the press tour, I will do it." the boxer told the host in a posted interview via Instagram and You Tube. The Ice Bucket Challenge has raised more than a hundred million dollars for ALS research since its inception and has collected donation from three million people across the globe. It has become a global sensation when famous personalities all over the world took the challenge and donated to the cause. Pacquiao and Algieri alongside their promoter Bob Arum visited various news outlets in New York City Friday, part of their ongoing campaign to promote their November 22nd welterweight championship showdown in Macao, China. Both will be heading home this weekend, Pacquiao to the Philippines, Algieri to nearby Long Island and start their training camps in preparation for their bout.
