CUELLO AND JARO FACE JAPANESE FOES IN OSAKA SUNDAY

WBC top strawweight contender Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello Singwangcha and former WBC flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro had their official weigh-in for their April 7 bouts in Osaka, Japan.
Promoter Aljoe Jaro informed philboxing that Denver was 150 grams below the contracted weight of 108lbs while Sonny Boy was 200 grams short of 115lbs.
The Filipino boxers are billeted at the Nikko Osaka hotel.At 5:45 in the afternoon, Denver will fight Takashi Kunishige while Sonnyboy faces Hiroyuki Hisataka at 7:00pm.
Both boxers made statements for the fans:
Denver: Ipanalangin lang po lahat ng mga sumusuporta sa akin ang tagumpay ko. Dahil ang sunod neto ay ang matagal na nating hinihintay na para sa akin ang world championship. Tagumpay po natin ang tagumpay ko.
(Please pray for me and for my success. After this fight, I will go for the world title. My victory is a victory for every Filipino.)
Sonnyboy: Ang laban nato ay laban nating lahat. Gagawin ko ang lahat na manalo dahil ang susunod neto ay world championship narin...salamat po sa inyong lahat...mabuhay po ang Pinoy boxers.
