NBA - Warriors brace for Lob City rivals' visit

PhilBoxing.com

SAN FRANCISCO -- One of the NBA's surprise teams this season, the Golden State Warriors, returns home from a two game road trip to renew their budding rivalry with the exciting Los Angeles Clippers 1 PM tomorrow.

Expected to once again lead the Bay City squad will be Stephen Curry and David Lee who have been putting up all star numbers with consistent double- double performances this season.

Although Lee did not suit up for the Hornets game yesterday, the fans who are expected to come watch the Warriors against the Clippers on a holiday are hopeful that Mr. Consistent Lee will suit up for the home team.

The Pacific division leading Clippers of Los Angeles who has taken over L.A. basketball's lordship from the Lakers this season will be banking on the leagues top point guard in all-star Chris Paul who has been less than amazing this season.

With great support from a complete line-up of of offensive players in Blake Griffin, Caron Butler and Jamal Crawford and defensive demons in Mat Barnes, Deandre Jordan and Lamar Odom, the young Warriors will surely have a long night of basketball come game time tomorrow.

Aside from the home team Warriors' top players in Curry and Lee, the bay city squad who won against the New Orleans Hornets yesterday in a game that saw multiple game changes down the stretch will also be banking on young blood Klay Thompson and vetern Jarrett Jack who scored the deciding points down the stretch against the Hornets yesterday.

Defense likewise would not be a problem for the Warriors with their match-up against the visiting Lob City Team as the Warriors also have role players in Carl Landry, Dreymond Green and Harrison Barnes coupled with team defense and their youth.

The Warriors lead the Clippers in their head to head this season taking the first two games with a 114-110 win in L.A. Last November 4, 2012 with Carl Landry and Jarrett Jack scoring 24 and 16 respectively. A 115-94 win at the Oracle Arena last January 3, 2012 highlighted by a 31 point performance from Stephen Curry was The Warriors fan to savor.

The Clippers won their most recent game against the Warriors last January 6, 2012 led by a 27 points 9 assists performance by Paul and a 52.2 % shooting by the Clippers during that meeting.
The visiting L.A. Team looks to even the season series tomorrow.
