Dazzling Mexico record away victory versus Argentina (1-4) PhilBoxing.com Sat, 24 Nov 2012 Lausanne, Switzerland, 24 November 2012 - Mexico Guerreros continued their red hot form in Group A with a stunning win on the Argentina Condors' turf at Club Villa Lujan. Rodriquez Patino, Hildago Estrade, Alameda Lopez, Bisbal Melero all dominated their contests to give their team victory in a glorious night for the visitors. It was the Middleweight (68-73kg) bout first with Venezuela's Juan Carlos Rodriquez Patino getting Mexico Guerreros off to a flying start with a third round TKO defeat of 21-year-old Henrri David Polanco Ferreras. Gaining the upper hand over his rival in the first, Rodriquez Patino settled in quickly on his WSB debut, moving well around the ring before unleashing several hard combinations on his way to a resounding win. 19-year-old orthodox Mexican Ramon Isaias Hildago Estrada then delivered the goods for the away team in the Lighweight (57-61kg) contest with a polished performance against German Benitez of Argentina. The young Guerreros fighter knocked down his opponent in the third with a good right hook and although Benitez came back to take the fourth, Hildago Estrada had enough about him to close out proceedings as the outfit from Mexico went 2-0 in the match. It was very evenly matched in the first two rounds as the promising Aaron Alameda Lopez went head-to-head with Argentina Condors' Christian Eduardo Roda at Bantamweight (50-54kg). With nothing to separate the two going into the third, the teenage Guerreros southpaw seized the initiative and went on the offensive which paid dividends as he caught his opposite number with a crisp shot to win the bout by TKO. Mexico were now looking comfortable with the overall victory assured. Heavyweight (91+kg) action followed with the Condors' experienced professional Leonardo Anibal Taborda pitted against Puerto Rican sensation Gerardo Miguel Bisbal Melero. Except for the second round, the away boxer dominated the exchanges with his strong jab giving him each time the edge. Bisbal Melero's tactics were frustrating the 30-year-old Argentine and he confidently went on to win. Fledgling talent Yamil Peralta, who represented Argentina at the London 2012 Olympic Games, managed to give the Condors fans something to cheer about with a confident display against veteran of two seasons in WSB Francisco Javier Ortega. The 21-year-old orthodox Argentine proved his class to record a victory that reduced the overall deficit for the home team. Argentina Condors will next host Hussars Poland at the Estadio Vicente Polimeni on home soil as Mexico awaits the visit of Algeria at fortress Foro Polanco on the weekend of the 7 and 8 December.
