WBC Silver 105 division titlist and mandatory challenger Denver "The Excitement" Cuello Singwangcha together with boxing patron Naris Singwangcha of Thailand and Promoter Aljoe Jaro attended the press conference in China involving hometown fighter Xiong Zhao Zhong and Mexican Javier Martinez who will dispute the vacant WBC minimumweight title.
Jaro informed philboxing that Cuello was introduced as the fight winner's next challenger and posed for photos with the protagonists. Martinez told Denver that if he wins, he would be willing to fight him in the Philippines because it was his long-time dream to fight in the country that has for the past few years established a very colourful boxing rivalry with Mexico. Jaro also said that Zhong did not make any statements to their team about fighting Cuello.
During the official weigh-in, Zhao Zhong weighed in at 104.5 while “Demonio” Martinez stepped on the scales at 104.1.They will fight at the Kunming City Stadium, Kunming, China and this boxing card is promoted by Liu Gang.
Jaro said that they will begin negotiations for Denver’s title challenge either after the fight here in China or during the WBC Convention in the frst week of December in Mexico.
