NBA -- Unbeaten Knicks test Magic
By Roel Iway PhilBoxing.com Tue, 13 Nov 2012

NEW YORK -- The NBA's only unbeaten team, the New York Knicks, stakes their unbeaten record Tuesday night when they travel to Orlando and face the Magic at the Amway Center.
After its opening debut against the neighboring Nets from Brooklyn was postponed due to hurricane Sandy last November, the Knicks have been on a tear beating the defending champions Miami Heat, the Philadelphia 76ers twice and the Dallas Mavericks for a clean 4-0 record.
Like usual, Carmelo Anthony will be at the forefront of the Knicks attack. The 6-foot-8 captain leads the Knick at 27.8 points a pop. A 9-year pro and 5-time All-Star, Anthony is shooting 44 percent from the field and 34.8 percent from 3-point range. He will be a tough cover for the struggling Magic who are giving up 93.5 points a game.
Anthony will get plenty of reinforcements from Jason Kidd, Tyson Chandler, Raymong Felton, Rasheed Wallace and other Knickerbockers. But when double teams come hard and often, Steve Novak could play prominently against the Magic.. Novak has made a name of himself as an ace 3-point shooter, who averaged 47 percent above the arc last season.
After a solid 2-0 start, the Magic has dropped four in a row, But this team cannnot be taken lightly. Even without Dwight Howard, who skipped town to join the fabulous Lakers, Orlando has enough talent to put up a gallant stand.
Leading Orlando are Jameer Nelson, J.J. Redick, Glen Davis and Aaron Afflalo. Forward Hedo Turkoglu remains on the injured list with a broken hand. (Roel Iway)
