DIEGO MAGDALENO LOOKS SHARP AND READY

Undefeated super featherweight Diego Magdaleno weighed in at 129.4 pounds for his North American Boxing Federation title defense against Mexico's Fernando Beltran Jr at the Conference Center at Casino Del Sol in Tucson, Arizona on March 23.
In a battle of southpaws Magdaleno who has a record of 21-0 with 7 knockouts looked sharp and ready in his last workout while Beltran appeared equally determined to spoil the unbeaten record of Magdaleno.
The 25 year old Magdaleno won the NABF title with a 6th round TKO of Marcos Leonardo Jimenez on January 22, 2011 and has had three successful title defenses, the last one being a ten round unanimous decxision over 33 year old Emmanuel Lucero.
Lucero is the same fighter who suffered a 3rd round TKO at the hands of Manny Pacquiao in an IBF super bantamweight title defense of Pacquiao on July 26, 2003.
Pacquiao is the reigning WBO welterweight champion and the Ring Magazine pound for pound king.
The 30 year old Beltran lost by a split decision to Filipino southpaw Michael Farenas, a protege of former two division world champion Gerry Penalosa at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu on July 16, 2011.
Beltran also dropped a majority ten round decision to Efrain Esquivas in his last fight on November 4, 2011.
