MONTIEL- DONAIRE L.A. PRESSCON QUOTES AND PHOTOS By Ed de la Vega, DDS PhilBoxing.com Wed, 12 Jan 2011  Downtown Los Angeles:- Following a very successful initial press conference yesterday in Las Vegas, Nevada, Bob Arum?s Top Rank Promotions immediately held another one in this city, at the world famous Biltmore Hotel none-the-less to formally announce the big fight between world champion Fernando Montiel of Mexico and Fil-Am Nonito Donaire Jr. Montiel currently holds the WBO and the WBC bantamweight belts while Donaire is the present Continental Americas Bantamweight diadem. For years Donaire had been on the hunt for the ?biggest fight out there? and finally will get his wish on February 19th at the Events Center of the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel and Casino. Both fighters had very impressive last fights leading to their tiff next month. Donaire knocked-out Volodymir Siderenko after four one-sided bloody war. Siderenko?s loss was the first time he was ever knocked-out. Montiel for his part toyed with Mexican journeyman Jovanny Soto before putting him away in the second round.
