IIEE Titans secured Finals in BPBL, IIEE Chessmasters retain on top level in Bundesliga By Marlon Bernardino PhilBoxing.com Tue, 01 Jul 2025 The 7th season champion IIEE Titans defeated its lone tormentor in the elimination Ourx Pharma during their semifinal match in the COO division last June 29, 2025 at the Zone, Makati. It is the back to back games between this team where IIEE prevails when it matters most, 93-85. Ourx Parma led 31-22 in the 1st quarter but IIEE cuts the lead at the half 53-49 with IIEE twin tower Eduard Bautista and Gilbert Torres closing the gap. The IIEE will meet We Link in the Finals after beating Banzai, 90-78, in the other semifinals. IIEE won their 1st match up with We Link, 104-94, in the Business Professional Basketball League (BPBL) Season 10 – CEO Cup and hopeful a repeat of their 2nd championship on their 2nd try in this league. The champion of COO division will battle the champion of CFO division. Macoda leads the CFO division with a win in the semi-finals against pro-baller, 76-55. They will meet CYD who defeated Paymongo 89-80. This Season 10, there will be 3 major awards, the CFO and COO Division Championship and for the 1st time, the CEO champion of Champions. In international chess games of Bundesliga, IIEE chessmasters remain at top level after placing 2nd behind SergeyVoronChess of Russia, 642-584, among the 10 teams. Other Russian teams, Crimea Chess is 3rd at 526 and Global Russians 6th at 461. This 4 teams are battling to go up to top 10 in World ranking for 2025 season of the Bundesliga with SergeyVoron, Global Russian, Crimea and IIEE on the order of rank 10th to 13th respectively. The IIEE was led by Chinn Lim with 78 points who also beaten Russian-Hungarian GM Gleb Dudin of Hungary who won the won the 15th Southwest Class Tournament in Irving, Texas in 2025. Ricardo Batch also had beaten grandmaster (GM) from Cardiff Wales.
