Las Vegas, NV — Prospects highlighted Fight Night at the Orleans Arena as Vanes Martirosyan and Anthony Peterson take further steps into future world title shots. The 22-year-old Super Welterweight, Martirosyan picked up win number twenty as he dominated the outgunned Angel Hernandez. Martirosyan displayed excellent footwork and accuracy against Hernandez, 28-7 (16 KOs). Martirosyan is undefeated in 20 fights with 13 ending before the final bell.
Lightweight prospect Anthony Peterson went the full 12 rounds for only the second time in his career, winning virtually every round against journeyman Fernando Trejo. Peterson, 27-0 (19 KOs), dictated the tempo throughout the bought. Trejo, 30-14-4 (18 KOs), was a game opponent who let lose with combinations at certain points in the bout. However, that just left openings for the flashy Peterson to land some of his most damaging blows. A future clash with fellow top prospect Amir Kahn, 18-0 (14 KOs), is a must see!
