Filipino cue master Richard Alinsub wins Bali International 9-Ball Open, pockets P350,000

Manila---FILIPINO cue master Richard Alinsub of the Philippines won the 2024 Bali 9-Ball Open title Wednesday night, April 17, in Bali, Indonesia.
Also known as "The Robot" and "Bong Bata (kid)", Alinsub pocketed the top prize of P350,000 (IDR 100,000,000 ) in the 128-man tournament after defeating countryman Sean Mark Malayan in an All-Filipino final showdown via 11-8 score after being down 7-3.
Alinsub's entry into the Finals was highlighted by a victory over countryman placer AJ Manas, 9-1, in the all-Filipino semifinal round.
The San Jose del Monte, Bulacan pool player also beat Duong Quoc of Vietnam, 9-5, in the quarterfinals.
Next up is the Bali Open 10 Ball event which start on Thursday .-Marlon Bernardino-
