Dimakiling is top ranked in 2nd Warden’s Open Rapid Chess

INTERNATIONAL Master Oliver Dimakiling is the top ranked player in the 2nd JSupt. Ericley Louise D. Lazaro Warden’s Open Rapid Chess tournament on April 13 at the SM City Davao in Ecoland Drive, Davao City.
Dimakiling, who has a rating of 2401 is from Davao City but is now based in Manila.
Rated next to Dimakiling is candidate master Jayson Salubre [2270] followed by National Master Joey Albert Florendo [2262].
The other national masters seeing action are Aglipay Oberio, Henry Roger Lopez, Macacuna Macala, John Cyrus Borce and Keith Adriane Ilar.
Also slated to play are AGM Mohamad Sacar, AGM Irwin Aton, AFM Andrei Ainsley Dolorosa and AGM Michael Cuamag.
The others who are picked to play are Johnnel Balquin [who is rank no. 4 with rating of 2248] and Reynaldo Gempero Jr. [ranked no. 8 with a rating of 2171.]
The champion will receive P30,000, 2nd placer P15,000, 3rd 3rd placer P10,000, 4th placer P7,000, 5th placer P5,000, 6th to 10th placers with P1,000 each.
Trophies will also be given away.
Meanwhile, the top five rated players in the Under 19 category are Braint Marben Magdagasang, Aliyah Rae Lumangtad, Ryan Gabriel Rasay, Ace Joshua Caralde and Arlton Lance Diaz.
