Team Go for Gold in early wins

DAVAO CITY – Team Go for Gold Philippines lived up to the expectations as it took the gold medals on the first day of the 2nd DC Athletic Festival at University of Mindanao Matina track oval.
Guhan Garcia of Manila clocked 11.22 to bag the men’s 100 meter dash. He was followed by Dharlie Baguisan of UM Davao at 11.24.
Third was Adrean Cabacang also of UM Davao with 11.25.
Orly Orogan also from Team Go for Gold took the gold in the men’s 400m with a time of 51.81.
Second was Johnny Meder of UM Davao at 52.12 while at third was John Gilbert Bayang of UM Tagum at 52.53.
Adrea Annabelle de Guia of UM Davao, however, dominated the women’s 400m dash.
Second was Charllyn Samontina of Stayland Manila followed by Kris Ann Sablawon of Southern Leyte State University.
Hazel Jean Guibone of UM Tagum clocked 12.91 to win the distaff side of 100m dash.
She was followed by Jhance Karre Bautista of DNSC followed by Angelie Reponte of UM Davao.
The other early winners:
13 under girl’s high jump – 1st – Jowea Antes of Crossing Bayabas Toril, 2nd – Nicole Alcano of BBG, 3rd – Alme Faith Atenta of CVAES
13 under boy’s high jump – 1st – Jade Dedoro, 2nd – Arrence Lumba of Strider, 3rd –Jacob Salajob of BBG
