24 teams in PSL Davao Leg

DAVAO CITY – Twenty-four teams are confirmed to play in the Pilipinas Super League Davao City qualifying leg set to start on April 6 at the Las Terrazas Gym in Maa.
This was confirmed by PSL Mindanao Commissioner PJ “Nonoy” Simon, former Philippine Basketball Association player.
A coaches’ meeting with the different teams was held last March 21, Thursday at the Penong’s.
Qualified in the 16Under [2008] are
1. Holy Child-DR. K Denta,
2. Macs,
3. Broadstreet-La Moreneta,
4. Hoopsfit-Donut Worry Davao,
5. Bushido Davao Rover Team,
6. Amsai
7. Pacman
8. Extra Sideline.
Listed in the 18 Under [2006] are
1. Holy Child-Sweet Case Travel & Tours,
2. Philippine Bearcats Elite,
3. Spearheads-Brad,
4. Macs,
5. Pacman,
6. Aeon Luxe,
7. BLDE
8. Dragons.
Playing in the 20 Under [2004] are the
1. Paramout,
2. Broastreet-La Moreneta,
3. PolasParis-Hardcourt,
4. Myrzias-Four Stripes,
5. Brokenshire College,
6. Fetat Vultures
7. NTB Wolves.
“We are still waiting for the last slot for there are three teams vying for it”, said Simon.
The tournament will end in the second week of May followed by the Mindanao Finals, which is set May 24to 26 in Tagum City.
The assistant deputy commissioners were former Metropolitan Basketball Association player Bob Ilanga and coach Rael Diaz.
