Wenceslao wins WBF Austrasian welterweight title

RODEL “The Hulk” Wenceslao of Leyte displayed non-stop powerful punches to stop Ernie Sanchez of Gen. Santos City in the 6th round last Friday, March 8 in Cawayan, Masbate.
Wenceslao is now the new World Boxing Federation Australasian welterweight title champion.
Referee Jerrold Tomeldan stopped the fight after seeing Sanchez was no longer fighting and just backpedaling against Wenceslao.
Wenceslao kept on throwing his left and right punches when the referee stopped it.
It was the 21st and 10th knockout win by Wenceslao against 19 losses and two draws.
Sanchez suffered his 20th loss against 21 wins and two draws.
Meanwhile, Brix Piala beat Ken Jorda by a unanimous decision;
Berland Robles settled a draw with Robert Paradero;
Yeroge Gura outboxed Kier Clenton Espere by UD;
Angelus Pilapil defeated Mark Sabang by split decision.
