 Aldea.
ROLDAN “The Cobra” Aldea of Kabankalan City suffered a first round technical knockout loss to Masahiro Suzuki of Japan last January 20 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Aldea and Suzuki settled for a majority draw in their first title-fight held last October 7, 2023 in Paranaque City.
But in their rematch, Suzuki made sure that he would win by stopping Aldea in the first round and became the new Orient and Pacific Boxing Federation lightweight champion.
The 29-year-old Suzuki posted his 10th win and the 7th knockout against one defeat and one draw while Aldea suffered his 10th loss against 18 wins and two draws.
Meanwhile, three Filipinos also lost in the undercard – Joseph Ambo, Jess Rhey Waminal and Rene Mark Cuarto.
The 27-year-old Ambo lost to Kenji Fujita by a unanimous decision and the vacant WBO Asia Pacific featherweight title.
Waminal was knocked out by Mikito Nakano in the 1st round while Cuarto suffered a 8th round TKO to Shokichi Ivata.
The fights were promoted by Akihiko Honda.
